Within traditional urban planning regulations with a gable roof at a cornice height of 4 metres, we explored the possibilities with this building as a powerful expressive response: a mainly single-storey house with a tower room. The roof of the single-storey volume was folded upwards and downwards, allowing diverse natural light to infiltrate the core of the square floor plan.
