Our vision

Our vision

Our team is a caravan, always on the move. We are a studio, a design practice positioned somewhere between landscape, urban design, cultural heritage and social practice. The crossing of different disciplines is our daily nourishment and source of dynamism.

We strongly believe in a socially connected network of people, buildings and environments. Shared space, with respect for privacy, is the key to creating high-quality and inspiring places.

We see ourselves as village architects, peaceful crusaders who aim to bring new ideas to the countryside.

‘PLACE’makers

Over the past decades, we have worked on a wide range of interesting projects and studies from small to medium scale. Our assignments have become increasingly complex and diverse:

  • collective housing models with densification and diversification in rural and urban areas;
  • the development of master plans for school sites and semi-public buildings, with an emphasis on understanding spatial structures and their historical evolution in order to identify bottlenecks and map spatial development;
  • the design and management of new and historical outdoor environments (landscape parks, cemeteries, playgrounds and meeting places);
  • research into the transformation of religious buildings (churches, presbyteries, monasteries, etc.) as a result from secularization;
  • the construction of community schools, inclusive environments, heritage and the reactivation of private and public buildings, among many others.
